Joe Andruzzi is a three-time Super Bowl champion, former New England Patriots offensive lineman, cancer survivor, philanthropist, and motivational speaker whose remarkable story extends far beyond the football field.
After entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers, Andruzzi joined the New England Patriots in 2000 and became an integral part of the offensive line during one of the most successful periods in franchise history. During five seasons in New England, he helped the Patriots win three Super Bowl championships: Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX.
Andruzzi’s toughness and character earned recognition both on and off the field. He received the Ed Block Courage Award in 2002 and, in 2003, became the first recipient of the New England Patriots’ Ron Burton Community Service Award. He later played two seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
In 2007, Andruzzi was diagnosed with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s Burkitt lymphoma. After undergoing treatment and beating the disease, he and his wife, Jen, turned their experience into a mission to help other families facing cancer. In 2008, they established the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, which provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families throughout New England.
