Boston Bruins National Anthem Singer
Todd Angilly is the official national anthem singer for the Boston Bruins and one of the most recognizable voices in New England sports. Known for his powerful performances of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “O Canada” at TD Garden, Angilly has become a beloved part of the Bruins game-day experience.
Born and raised in Warwick, Rhode Island, Angilly earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Plymouth State University before continuing his vocal training in the opera program at the New England Conservatory in Boston.
His path to becoming the voice of Bruins home games was anything but conventional. While working as a bartender at TD Garden in 2017, Angilly was called upon at the last minute to perform the national anthem at a Bruins game. Following the retirement of longtime anthem singer René Rancourt, the Bruins conducted an extensive search for anthem performers. Angilly emerged as a fan favorite and was named the team’s official anthem singer in 2019.
Angilly has also performed the national anthem for all five of New England’s major professional sports teams.
