Tom Caron is a 13-time New England Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, Maine Sports Hall of Fame inductee, community leader and one of the most familiar personalities in New England sports media. Known to viewers as “TC,” he has spent more than three decades covering the region’s teams, athletes and most memorable sports moments.

A native of Lewiston, Maine, Caron graduated from Saint Michael’s College with a degree in journalism. Before joining NESN, he worked in radio and television throughout northern New England and served as the communications director and play-by-play voice of the American Hockey League’s Portland Pirates. He joined NESN in 1995 and has become best known for hosting the network’s Boston Red Sox pregame and postgame coverage. His extensive broadcasting career has also included Red Sox field reporting, Boston Bruins studio coverage and play-by-play assignments for the Beanpot, Hockey East Championship and other college hockey events.

Caron was named the 2025 Massachusetts Co-Sportscaster of the Year and was inducted into the Maine Sports Hall of Fame in 2021 and the Portland Pirates Hall of Fame in 2014.
