New England Patriots Long Snapper

Julian Ashby is a long snapper for the New England Patriots, bringing a combination of athletic precision, academic achievement, and consistency to one of football’s most specialized positions. Selected by New England in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Ashby earned the Patriots’ long-snapping role as a rookie and appeared in all 17 regular-season games as well as four postseason games.

A native of Georgia, Ashby began his college career at Furman University, where he established himself as a highly dependable long snapper while also excelling academically. He graduated from Furman with a degree in physics before transferring to Vanderbilt University for his final collegiate season and pursuing a master’s degree in mechanical engineering.

At Vanderbilt, Ashby appeared in all 13 games during the 2024 season and earned honors recognizing his performance on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. He was named a First-Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators and a Third-Team All-American by Special Teams U, represented Vanderbilt on the SEC Football Community Service Team, and was a semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award, presented annually to the nation’s top college long snapper.

The New England Patriots selected Ashby with the 251st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, he handled long-snapping duties on punts and field goals throughout the regular season and playoffs, quickly establishing himself as a trusted member of New England’s special teams unit.

With his combination of NFL experience, academic accomplishment, and approachable personality, Ashby is a strong fit for corporate and community events, meet-and-greets, endorsements, brand partnerships, and promotional appearances.
