Julian Ashby
New England Patriots Long Snapper
Julian Ashby is a long snapper for the New England Patriots. He played four seasons of college football at Furman University before transferring to Vanderbilt for his final season. Across his college career, Ashby established himself as one of the most reliable specialists in the country.
At Furman, Ashby was the team’s primary long snapper for four seasons, appearing in every game. During his time, he helped anchor one of the Southern Conference’s most dependable special teams units. His performance earned him multiple postseason recognitions, including being named a CSC Academic All-American, Special Teams U Third Team All-American, and a Patrick Mannelly Award semifinalist. Ashby transferred to Vanderbilt for the 2024 season, where he earned SEC Football Community Service Team honors.
The Patriots selected Ashby in the seventh round (251st overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft, making him one of the few long snappers taken in recent years. Since joining New England, Ashby has taken on long snapping duties and has become an integral part of the special teams unit.
