Andy Borregales

New England Patriots Kicker

book now

Andrés “Andy” Borregales was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and later immigrated with his family to Miami, Florida. Growing up in South Florida, Andy developed a passion for football and went on to attend the University of Miami. There, he became the Hurricanes’ starting kicker and kickoff specialist as a freshman.

Throughout his collegiate career, Andy proved to be one of the most consistent and accomplished kickers in the ACC. He earned All-ACC honorable mention honors twice and made the All-ACC First Team twice. Andy also set a University of Miami program record as the all-time leading scorer with an 86% field goal percentage.

Andy was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, becoming the first kicker chosen that year. In his 2025-26 rookie season, he made an immediate impact, earning AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 12. This recognition made him the fifth Patriots rookie since 2000 to earn the award.

Off the field, Andy has already shown a commitment to giving back to his community in meaningful ways. In July 2025, he and his wife Stephanie joined a pet-adoption event hosted by the Patriots Foundation, helping to promote shelter-adoptions, and even brought home a rescue dog themselves.
