Andy Borregales

Andy Borregales is the kicker for the New England Patriots and a former University of Miami standout who made an immediate impact during his rookie NFL season.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Borregales moved to the United States with his family as a young child and grew up in South Florida. He went on to play college football at the University of Miami, becoming one of the most accomplished kickers in Hurricanes history.
Borregales served as Miami’s primary kicker throughout his four-year collegiate career, earning All-ACC honors in each of his four seasons and finishing as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 405 career points.
The New England Patriots selected Borregales in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 182nd overall pick. He earned the team’s kicking job as a rookie and appeared in all 17 regular-season games as well as all four postseason games.
Borregales established himself as an important part of New England’s special teams during his rookie season, demonstrating both range and composure in pressure situations. His postseason included the decisive field goal in the Patriots’ AFC Championship Game victory.
