Taylor Twellman

Taylor Twellman is a former professional soccer player, New England Revolution star, soccer analyst, broadcaster, and sought-after sports speaker. As one of the most recognizable voices in American soccer, Twellman brings firsthand experience from the field, the broadcast booth, and his work advocating for athlete health and safety.
Selected second overall by the New England Revolution in the 2002 MLS SuperDraft, Twellman quickly established himself as one of Major League Soccer’s top forwards. He won the MLS scoring title in his rookie season with 23 goals and 52 points, earning MLS All-Star and Revolution MVP honors. He went on to become a three-time MLS All-Star and led the league in scoring again in 2005.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Twellman played college soccer at the University of Maryland and represented the United States at the youth international level. He also spent time with German club 1860 Munich before beginning his MLS career.
Twellman retired from professional soccer in 2010 after a series of serious head injuries. Since then, he has become a leading advocate for concussion awareness and traumatic brain injury education. He is the founder of the THINKTaylor Foundation, which is dedicated to increasing awareness, recognition, and education surrounding traumatic brain injuries.
From 2011 to 2023, Twellman worked as a soccer analyst for ESPN and ABC, covering MLS, the U.S. Men’s National Team, and major international soccer competitions. He currently serves as a soccer analyst for Apple TV, where he continues to bring his candid perspective and deep knowledge of the game to soccer audiences.
