Manny Delcarmen
Red Sox World Series Champion &
NESN Analyst
Manny Delcarmen is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, 2007 World Series champion and NESN analyst. Born and raised in Boston, he achieved the rare distinction of winning a championship with the hometown team he grew up following.
Delcarmen attended West Roxbury High School before the Boston Red Sox selected him in the second round of the 2000 MLB Draft. He made his major-league debut in 2005 and developed into an important member of Boston’s bullpen. During the 2007 postseason, Delcarmen contributed as the Red Sox captured their second World Series championship in four seasons.
He remained with Boston through much of the 2010 season before being traded to the Colorado Rockies. Delcarmen subsequently continued his professional career in several major-league organizations and independent baseball. He officially retired as a player in 2018.
Following his playing career, Delcarmen transitioned into broadcasting as a studio analyst for NESN, providing commentary and insight informed by his experience pitching in Boston. He has also remained involved in baseball and community events throughout Massachusetts.
Delcarmen’s local roots, championship experience and approachable personality make him a strong choice for corporate gatherings, charitable programs, baseball clinics, autograph signings and Red Sox-themed events. As both a former player and analyst, he can offer audiences an inside perspective on pitching, clubhouse culture and the experience of representing one’s hometown at the highest level.
