Joshua Farmer is a defensive tackle for the New England Patriots whose combination of size, strength and interior quickness helped him progress from a developmental college prospect into an NFL draft selection. A product of Florida State University, Farmer built his reputation through steady improvement, disruptive play and a willingness to handle the physical work required along the defensive line.

Farmer developed at Florida State under head coach Mike Norvell and longtime defensive line coach Odell Haggins. After spending his first college season primarily in a developmental role, he became a regular contributor and eventually an important part of the Seminoles’ defensive front. His ability to create pressure from the interior, disrupt running lanes and play multiple positions along the line attracted the attention of NFL teams.

Farmer completed his Florida State career with 80 tackles, including 19 tackles for loss and 11 sacks, and earned second-team All-ACC recognition in 2024.
