Joshua Farmer

New England Patriots Defensive Tackle

Joshua Farmer was born and raised in Florida, where he developed toughness and love for football at a young age. He attended Gadsden County High School, a program known for producing physical and hard-nosed players. He quickly stood out for his size and strength on the defensive line.

Farmer went on to play at Florida State University, where he developed into a key piece of the Seminoles defensive front. He was a Second Team All-ACC and Freshman Honorable Mention All-American player. Over his collegiate career, he played in more than 40 games, totaling over 80 tackles, and double-digit tackles for losses and multiple sacks. His ability to stop the run and generate pressure played a major role in Florida State’s defensive success.

Farmer was selected 137th overall in the fourth round by the New England Patriots. His experience at the college level prepared him for the next level. In his rookie season, he played in 13 games and made three starts, recording 15 tackles and a fumble recovery. His season was cut short due to injury but he showed flashes of becoming a rising star in New England.

Although Farmer makes his presence known on the field, off the field he is known for his low-key personality, staying focused on his work ethic and continuing to grow in his new environment. He also has a passion for the outdoors in his free time.
