DeMario “Pop” Douglas was born in Jacksonville, Florida, where he attended Mandarin High School. He quickly became one of the most dynamic playmakers in the state, helping lead his team to a Florida state championship while recording 1,700 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns in his senior year, including four in the title game alone.

Douglas went on to play college football at Liberty University, where he emerged as a versatile offensive weapon and return specialist. Over four seasons, he totaled more than 2,100 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns, also making an impact on special teams. In his final season, he led the team with nearly 1,000 yards, establishing himself as one of the top playmakers in program history.

Douglas was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact as a rookie, finishing with 49 receptions for 561 receiving yards and earning a role as a reliable target in the Patriots’ offense. Known for his quickness, route running, and versatility, Douglas has continued to grow into a key contributor.

Off the field, Douglas is known for his strong work ethic and close connection to his family, often crediting them as a major influence on his journey to the NFL. He takes great pride in his Florida roots and is motivated by being one of the few from his hometown to make it to the league.
